Q. What is the best way to register?
A.

Online registration provides immediate confirmation and allows you to see, in real-time, which hotel options and dates are available. You can also purchase event tickets, and register online for interactive labs and computer learning classes. Mailed and faxed registrations must be processed by hand and will take several days to be recorded and available hotel choices confirmed.

Q. Will there be shuttle busing from my hotel to the convention center?
A.

Many of the downtown hotels are within walking distance to the convention center. Shuttle service will be available from three hotels:

  • Atlanta Marriott Marquis
  • Hilton Atlanta
  • Westin Peachtree hotels.

Attendees staying at other AVMA Block hotels can catch the buses at one of these hotels.

Q. Can I choose where to have my registration packet sent?
A.

Confirmations and convention packets will be sent to the address listed on your registration form. When registering online, your contact information as shown in our membership database, will auto-populate the registration form. Please check the information and change/edit if needed. There is also an option for having confirmations sent to 2 email addresses.

Q. I moved after I registered and have sent the change to AVMA membership, do I still need to notify the Registration Bureau?
A.

You can view and edit your registration record at any time by accessing the "online registration."  Use the "Already Registered login".  You will need your registration ID and last name to access your registration record. Remember to complete and "save" your changes before exiting.

Foreign veterinarians who are members of a national veterinary association may register at the AVMA member rate. Veterinarians who are citizens of or are residing in a country other than the United States please attach a copy of your membership card or other proof of national association membership to your registration form. Online registrants may fax a copy to +1.847.940.2386; be sure to include your convention registration ID number.

Q. My spouse is also a veterinarian; can we both register on the same record?

Q. When will I receive my badge and event tickets?
A.

Registration Packets containing your Convention Badge, Event Tickets and CE Session Grid will be mailed the week of July 12.  If you preregistered, you will receive your packet approximately two weeks before the convention.
